SkinnerFest

Skinnerfest 2026
October 17-18

On Sunday, October 18, more than 50 Oklahoma musicians will play three stages in Tulsa’s SOBO District for the 11th annual “SKINNERFEST,” celebrating the life and songwriting legacy of Oklahoma Music Hall of Famer, Tom Skinner. The event benefits the nonprofit Red Dirt Relief Fund’s Emergency Financial Assistance fund to aid music creators facing unavoidable emergencies.

The festival begins at noon with a limited-capacity VIP Brunch with King Cabbage Brass Band at Soma, the rooftop restaurant at The Brut Hotel. Presented by The Collaborative Coffee, brunch tickets include general admission to the festival along with a New Orleans-inspired brunch from Soma, two complimentary beverages and a signature merch item.

King Cabbage, who tours as the horn section for Oklahoma superstar, Zach Bryan, will end Brunch by leading a second line parade from The Brut Hotel to Venue Shrine and Mercury Lounge, the other two festival venues. Music follows from rising funk-country-bluegrass star, Johnny Mullenax, country rockers, The Damn Quails, Skinner’s own Science Project, Oklahoma Space Program, Knipple, John Ferrell Band, Tom Pevear & the Backyard Band, RR Williams Band, Crow & Gazelle and “Honky Tonk Angels” Amber Watson, Kalyn Fay, Joleen Brown and Olivia McGraw.

With support from a Tulsa Vision Arts 7 Grant, Red Dirt Relief Fund is previewing SKINNERFEST on Saturday, October 17th in celebration of the Route 66 centennial. Acoustic acts including Jacob Tovar, Jim Bachmann, Red Dirt Rangers and Liz Zotta & Connor Culpepper will perform for free in Tulsa’s Meadow Gold District from noon to 2pm. Michael Wallis, acclaimed historian and journalist known as the leading authority on Route 66, will host a book signing of Route 66: The Mother Road at Meadow Gold Mack at 2pm. A full schedule by location for both days will be released in late September.

Last year, Skinnerfest raised $22,437 for the Red Dirt Relief Fund’s Emergency Financial Assistance Fund while also putting $13,200 in the pockets of local musicians and production workers. Our sincere thanks to all the artists, sponsors, vendors, volunteers and fans who make this annual celebration of Tom Skinner possible.
