Margaret (Maggie) Shaffer, MPA is Director of Public Policy for the Alzheimer’s Association. In her current professional capacity Maggie works with advocates and lobbies to move forward state and federal policy issues to support research to find a cure for Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, improve care coordination and access, and further the care and support of caregivers.
Prior to her time at the Alzheimer’s Association, Maggie spent several years working on health and mental health policy, researching, writing, performing policy analysis, and advocating for improved access to comprehensive, integrated care systems. Maggie holds a Master of Public Administration with Public Policy emphasis from the University of Oklahoma and anticipates obtaining a Master in Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma fall of 2023.
