Blake Parks joins RDRF Board of Directors

Blake Parks joins the Red Dirt Relief Fund Board of Directors with extensive experience in Oklahoma music, tourism, and culture. His music roots trace back to childhood, growing up in a musical family that eventually formed the bluegrass band, The Parks Family Band.  Today, Blake plays fiddle, sings, and co-writes songs with Michael Henneberry for their original bluegrass band, Steelwind.  The band also includes his brother Joel Parks on banjo, his Dad Kenny Parks on upright bass, Adam Davis on dobro, and Jim Paul Blair on mandolin.

A love for travel and helping others motivated Blake to enroll in OSU’s Hotel & Restaurant Administration program after high school in Duncan, Oklahoma. He’s worked and traveled in hospitality, from running front desk hotel operations to studying Event Management in South Australia. Since March 2016, Blake has worked at the Oklahoma Tourism & Recreation Department managing marketing/advertising plans for their various tourism industry partners.

In addition to his experience, Blake brings a fresh perspective and presence in the OKC-area to the RDRF Board.
