Isaac Hanson of the Tulsa-based band that has sold more than 16 million records worldwide, Hanson, is one of more than 30 artists who will perform live on their social media channels on November 28 as part of #GivingTunesday.

Kaitlin Butts, Tulsa native whose song “What Else Can She Do” was #44 in the Top 100 songs of 2022 in Rolling Stone magazine, joins artists like Chris Combs, Rigby Summer, Jacob Tovar, Jesse Aycock, Johnny Mullenax and more in performing live online that day. Cassie Latshaw will host a live stream from Mercury Lounge Tulsa with a rotation of more than 15 singer/songerwriters from 6-8pm.

Tulsa music creator, rapper and community activist, Steph Simon, will lead his music students at McLain High School in performing a song as part of TMC Records, a multimedia/record label created for current students at the school. According to Simon, “I’m teaching them something I needed when I started rapping in high school. It’s like high school basketball—someone coaches you in the sport and it could lead to something bigger in your life. We’re making music together, and that could create opportunities for these kids in the future.”

As a way to thank music creators for all their support of the cause, RDRF will also host a Musician Appreciation Party at Mercury Lounge that night from 6-8pm. All Oklahoma music creators are invited for a free BBQ dinner by Zach Annett, free earplugs through the RDRF SoundCheck program, free insurance enrollment counseling from Cardinal Rule Insurance (open enrollment through December 15th),  and be entered in a drawing for services like an eye exam from Dr. Kyle Tate, a dental exam from Tulsa Dental Center, a solo acoustic music video from TaylorTown Productions, $50 gift card from Guitar House of Tulsa, a social media reel production from Cole Yearwood and more.

Since Red Dirt Relief Fund began in 2012, Red Dirt Relief Fund has granted over $750,000 to more than 800 music professionals in 39 Oklahoma counties including $300,250 in COVID relief grants during the pandemic.

Giving Tuesday is the largest international day of giving created in 2012 to shine a light on benevolence following traditional shopping days, Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Join the movement!
